National Honor Society

The National Honor Society is an organization that promotes appropriate recognition for students who reflect outstanding accomplishments in the areas of scholarship, character, leadership, and service. Its purpose is to create enthusiasm in these areas. Students do not choose to join this organization; they are selected to participate after meeting stringent criteria. However, all students have the opportunity to achieve this level. Employers and college admissions officers often regard National Honor Society membership as a valid indicator that the applicant will succeed at the post-secondary education level and/or future employment. The Honor Society member has already exhibited academic achievement, leadership either overtly or silently honorable, and admirable character, as well as service that demonstrate that the member is willing to use talents and skills for the improvement of society. Here at Lynn Tech, we have adopted My Brothers Table and provide many community services on their behalf, as well as field days for a local elementary school, Item Santa, and free tutoring daily for all students.
