Detention and Suspensions

CUTTING CLASS
Students who cut a class will receive a "0" for that class from the teacher. For every class/period cut , one night's detention is assigned for each.
Detention
held every afternoon from 2:30 to 3:30.
1. Formal detention can be assigned by the Director or Assistant Directors.
2. Detention may be assigned for excessive tardiness, truancy, unexcused missing of classes, loitering in corridors or lavatories, or other school infraction deemed necessary.
3. Teachers may exercise their right to have a student stay for their detention. A teacher's detention can be for the following reasons; tardiness for classes, minor classrom disturbances, homework assignment not completed, etc.
4. Students are required to complete assigned detention before the close of the school year. If students do not do so, they must report to the Assistant Directors during summer break.
5. Suspension from school may result from more serious offenses. Students are assigned detention in conjunction with a suspension.
