Science

The science curriculum in the Lynn Public Schools and at Lynn Vocational Technical Institute is designed to conform to the Massachusetts State Science and Technology Frameworks (May 2001). It is acknowledged that writing and developing critical thinking skills are essential parts of our curriculum. All classes in grade 9 and 10 are required to do John Collins writing assignments. In addition, individual subject areas may require detailed written laboratory reports with summaries and conclusions that demonstrate a full and comprehensive understanding of the scientific concepts covered in the Massachusetts State Frameworks. Technology is also integrated throughout the subject areas where applicable.
